The size of your shoes
Measure the length and width of both feet and take the size of the largest.
From the heel to the longest toe, often the big toe but not always.
If two toes are similar, measure both.
The measurements are taken standing so that they take their full width with the weight of your body.
For a more comfortable shoe, take measurements at the end of the day, because the foot is more tired and will take its full width.
Shoe choice
Lace-up shoes adapt to the shape of the foot.
A small heel, less than 2.4 cm ideally to avoid too much pressure on the foot and better balance.
A flexible sole that absorbs shock well.
Good support for the arch of the foot (a set of joints, ligaments and muscles that come together to form the curvature at the bottom of your foot).
Sandal
Good ventilation of the feet. The heel and toes should not protrude, your entire foot should be supported by the sole.
Winter boot
Boots that are too warm depending on the purpose will make you sweat a lot and your feet will be even colder.
For driving, the insulation should be lower, but if you are doing snowshoeing or outdoor activity, the insulation should be higher. We often find a synthetic material and a membrane such as Gore Tex for technical boots.
Models with removable markers are ideal for children because they dry more quickly and are less expensive.
For the city, recommend fashionable boots with light insulation, often an imitation sheepskin lining.
Different depth of studs, deeper to grip the snow or grippy sole with small nubs, ideal for icy surfaces.
